My LDS eBooks. . .

Welcome to My LDS eBooks . . .
This website is a clearing house for LDS authors to submit books for circulation among the LDS community of eBook readers.

In the past, an author who wanted to get their message out, had to submitt their manuscript to a publisher and hope they would publish it. A cost now incurred, thanks to the publisher, and the book then had to be marketed to bookstores, etc....

Now, with the new media (being the internet etc...) an author can distribute their works online -- and if he or she didn't want to charge for it . . . so much the better.

eBooks can be viewed on desktop computers, laptops, eBook readers (such as Amazon's kendle, Sony's reader, Plastic Logic & and others), and smart phones such as theiPhone & iPod Touch.

During the year 2009, eBooks will reach new hieghts in popularity. I would like to see as many LDS scholars, and lay folk (like me) to publish their works online.

A note on uploading your eBooks and other documents.

eBooks can be submitted in many formats.
Computers can read most any format -- .doc, .txt, PDFs, etc...

However, smart phones (iPhone & iPods Touch) work best with documents in the .pdb format, which it then submitted to eReader.com and then downloaded to the iPhone. Yes, there is some footwork for the end user.

So, I suggest submitting documents in .doc or .txt formats -- the end user can make further conversions if necessay.

When in the 'LDS eBooks' folder (see directions above) you will want to create a folder with your name on it. Then you may add, delete, or rename at your pleasure.

Then, simply drag and drop your document as guided.
